The FSI Hominy Creek Classroom

083Thanks to Mr. Chris DeFiore’s Adventure PE, and to Mr. Andrew Rabin’s Crew, FSI is well on the way to having our Hominy Creekside Outdoor Classroom ready for learning!    FSI scholars are already using this space for Crew lessons in reflection and goal-setting.

Students have learned about invasive species, stream ecology, erosion, wetlands, and ecology in their recent efforts to prepare our Hominy Creek shoreline for an outdoor classroom.

Teamwork and all our Habits of Scholarship have been integral to this work.  I’m extremely grateful and excited to be part of this on-going campus-wide initiative to create outdoor learning environments, culture, and community.  084 085 086 087 088 089 090 091 092 093 094 095 096 097 100 101 102 103 104 099 098 106 105
